We are excited to announce a significant achievement made possible by the generosity of our community! Thanks to funds raised during the 2023 Wine Country to the Rescue charity auction and dinner dance, we were able to purchase four LUCAS Chest Compression Systems for the firefighters and emergency medical responders serving Northern Sonoma County.
What is a LUCAS Device?
The LUCAS Chest Compression System is a life-saving tool that provides consistent, high-quality chest compressions during CPR. Unlike manual compressions, the LUCAS device ensures uninterrupted and effective compressions, even during transport or in challenging situations. This means better outcomes for patients experiencing cardiac arrest and more opportunities for our first responders to save lives.
Strengthening Emergency Response
These devices will be distributed across our region to fire departments in Geyserville, Healdsburg, Cloverdale, and the Dry Creek Rancheria, ensuring that communities throughout Northern Sonoma County benefit from this cutting-edge technology. The addition of these tools enhances the ability of our firefighters and EMTs to deliver critical care when it’s needed most.
