What is the money spent on?
Wine County to the Rescue is a fundraiser to benefit firefighters of Northern Sonoma County and in turn, benefit the people of Northern Sonoma County. Geyserville, Cloverdale and Healdsburg firefighters have teamed up to raise money for better wildland fire preparedness. With everything that has happened in the last year in only makes sense, we raise money to defend you the public from Wildland Fires.
One way we are working to be better equipped is with maps. Yes, we all have GPS and map/run books but we want regional maps that show entire communities and neighboring communities. These maps will help us respond to emergencies. It will help us work with local community leaders to better educate and preplan emergency preparedness. These maps will make us better prepared and will make you safer!

A portion of the night’s proceeds will also go to support the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation (AARBF). The AARBF’s vision is “A safe California free from burn injuries, and a community of empowered burn survivors.”
AARBF is a California-based nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing burns and fires and providing services to those who have been affected by a burn injury. AARBF brings together health care providers, firefighters, emergency workers, burn care professionals, burn survivors and others to enhance the quality of life for burn survivors and to make burn injuries a thing of the past.
Who is Alisa Ann? At age eight, Alisa Ann Ruch was fatally injured in a backyard barbecue accident in Southern California. Bravely using their tragedy as a catalyst for change, Alisa Ann’s parents, local firefighters and medical professionals joined together and created AARBF in 1971 with the goal of preventing burn injuries by teaching Stop Drop and Roll.
